Important Note to Site Owner / LMS Manager
We recommend that you craft an engaging accessibility statement. At the top of this statement, there should be one or more methods of contact (email, phone, text, snail mail) to reach the person to whom anyone reports to when a site visitor has trouble accessing, using, or understanding any part of your website.
Particularly with learning management systems, you can encounter challenges making your site fully accessible and often there will need to be creative steps taken to ensure anyone and everyone is able to find a way to learn what you have to teach.
Regarding Accessibility of this Example LMS website:
Contact Us and Report Any Issues You Encounter…
If you need help accessing content on the site, would like to report issues or have a question, please contact us.
Commitment to Accessibility
We are committed to providing a fully accessible website experience for all users of all abilities, including those who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen enlargement software and alternative keyboard input devices to navigate the web.
We are committed to making this website accessible and in compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2AA).
We initially and periodically check the site with a keyboard and screen reader and do so when any new functionality is added.
We test any third-party platforms we integrate with for accessibility. In many cases, we make modifications to the code, where possible, in order to make them more accessible.
That being said, there are third parties who develop plugins and themes who we report to and must rely on in some cases for resolution to accessibility issues. That is why we ask anyone to please let us know when you run into difficulties accessing or understanding the contents of this website or what it has to offer.
Known Issues
We will update this list if we find issues that we cannot immediately fix.
- We are checking that essential images have appropriate Alt-text and that decorative ones have null Alt-text.
- We will be checking that hyperlinks that open in a new window warn all users first.
